THE SCHOOL OF THE STREET
Las Rosas, Guatemala
The rapid urbanization of rural areas surrounding Guatemala's cities has left many farmworkers without a means for support. Children often work menial jobs to help support their families and many end up fending for themselves on the street. The School of the Street offers free education for children at-risk of becoming homeless, simultaneouly working to increase the earning capacity of their parents.
